Third Avenue Productions, LLC is an independent media production company located in New York City. Third Avenue Productions has extensive multimedia production, distribution and theatrical outreach experience.
The company was founded by J.B. Edwards, a playwright, author and theatrical producer in 2003. The company has distinguished itself by its production of theatrical plays, radio shows films and CDs.
Third Avenue Productions produces "Relationships for Life," one of radio’s most listened to health and science programs. The internationally-heard, weekly radio series focuses on the latest thoughts on the biology of human behavior and personal relationships, from both scientific and social perspectives.
"Relationships for Life" is heard by more than one million listeners weekly, and is now available in major markets around the world.
Third Avenue Productions, under Executive Producer
J. B. Edwards, has also produced a number of
theatrical plays.
Third Avenue Productions is dedicated to supporting the works of emerging playwrights in the New York theatre scene. The mission of Third Avenue Productions is to:
1. Present plays by new and mid-career playwrights.
2. Devise educational offerings.
3. Bring actors, directors, playwrights and stage people to training workshops.
4. Commission and perform new performance pieces.
Third Avenue Productions has produced and distributed the audio CD, "The Relationship Advantage," narrated by Sabra E. Brock and Joseph F. Dooley, Ph.D. This is a one-hour voice documentary explores how to improve your relationships with the opposite sex during times of change In addition, Third Avenue Productions has released a CD album of original music called
"Music to Romance By," from the original film Three Women Dating
Henry.
Three Women Dating Henry was release on DVD in 2006. It tells the story of three women reminiscing about dating and befriending Henry, the most wonderful man they ever knew. Henry knew what each woman needed. He optimized women. It has been said that,
"Every woman has a Henry in her life."
Current productions also include Dating Henry, a musical based on the movie
Three Women Dating Henry, and A Delicate Matter, a play about three sisters who come back to a small New York apartment to take care of their aging mother.
